Tootsie 3-1/4" Needle Felted Mouse (SOLD)
In the forest village of Rodanta even the children have a task to tend to....Today one of the forest Gnomes gave birth and the mice have always been special friends to the Gnomes....
There have been many a life saved by the Gnomes so when the mice heard of the birth they sent a mouse to lay flower petals at the Gnome's doorstep....
Even the baby barn owl takes part in the celebration as one time his father was caught in a wire fence and the Gnomes used their wee wire cutters to set him free....
It is a special day for all. Only the sweetest of flowers are picked for the baby Gnome.
When the sun sets the Mama Gnome comes outside her door and scoops up the petals that the wee mouse left for her babe....
And they are placed under the babe's pillow so she may have sweet dreams. It has been a good day for all!

Berrianna 3-1/2" Needle Felted Mouse By Barby Anderson (SOLD)
In it not an uncommon occurrence to see wee forest mice from the village of "Rodanta" helping out with the other forest creatures. Often the Gnomes of the forest ask them to help out. This wee mouse is off to help a squirrel who needed some berries for a cold he has been suffering with. She mashes the berries with her wee feet (hence the berry colored shoes), added just a touch of honey, a pinch of her magical powders and made it into a thick paste for the squirrel. If the squirrel is too sick to open his mouth for the paste she tickles his chin and it opens just enough for the mouse to wipe some berry paste on his tongue. "Berrianna" loves to carry the berry paste in her favorite owl bag as the owls of the forest protect her. After she has treated the sick squirrel she stays with him to be sure he is better and then returns home to enjoy a berry pie with her family. There are many tasks the wee mice of the village tend to and "Berrianna" is one of the kindest of them all.

Our pug Homer was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago. He is doing ok for now. My niece Amy and her artist boyfriend Rob came to visit and Rob painted Homer from a photo he had! It was quite a surprise, our Homer is 11 now. We adore the painting and our dear Amy and Rob! Just click on the photo to enlarge.

The owl was made by Helen Priem.The pods were sent to me from Meli in Greece.
One giant leap from her nest and the baby owl fluttered to the ground....
But goodness sakes, look what she landed by, a wee bunny she found!
The little barn owl tried to fly the bunny back to her soft owl nest...yes she tried and tried to do her best!
Down swooped the Mama owl as she knew something was wrong..... there was no way in Heaven that her wee babe's wings were that strong...
The owl Mama lifted the wee bunny onto her wing..... she knew where little creatures loved to sing....
She placed the baby bunny by a wee mouse's door, and knew the bunny would be cared for and happy forever more!

The magnificent owl was created for me by Helen Priem!Here is the story below.
Ever since the wee Saw Whet owl was born he dreamed of protecting the mice in the village of "Rodanta." His Mama said he was too young and small....
But this did not stop him and one day he flew from the nest... he soared through snowstorms high over the mountains and rivers below.... searching for the wee village of "Rodanta".....
Kerplunk! Oh no, the wee owl was caught in a wind storm on his flight! He lay alone and frightened, but then he heard a rustle....
Uff.... ugh......push....
And before you know it a wee mouse had helped him to his feet!
But the sad owl told the mouse he could no longer fly....
The wee mouse scurried off quickly and returned with a tiny jeweled bag with some magic powder inside....
Poof! She blew some of the powder in the owl's face..... Ah choo! The owl sneezed!
Now the mouse pleaded with the tiny owl to say "I can fly, I can fly" over and over again.....
And before you knew it the tiny owl took flight!
Now I suppose you wonder how such a small owl could protect the mice of "Rodanta?"
Well, he has, and he is the fiercest protector of them all..... for you see mighty things come in small packages!
